Rana Chegu, Co-Founder and CEO
Mr. Chegu has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field specializing in strategy and architecture. Prior to founding Peridot Solutions, he held executive positions at Gartner, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting. He serves as a “Trusted Advisor” to many senior IT executives and provides them with required IT strategy and business advisory services.
Mr. Chegu has a rich and broad 20 years of experience in Program Management, Performance Management, Portfolio Analysis, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, critical infrastructure design, large scale systems integration, life cycle development of enterprise applications, ERP and B2B related technologies.
Program Management: Mr. Chegu has performed key roles supporting planning, performance management and portfolio analysis in some of the on-going large scale Department of Defense ERP Programs.
IT Strategy: He has drafted and presented the IT Strategic Plan for Defense Commissary Agency, Amtrak, U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Dept of Energy’s Los Alamos National Lab and the National Defense University.
Strategic Sourcing: He has provided global sourcing and critical infrastructure strategies to the Federal Trade Commission, Business Transformation Agency, International Monetary Fund and Federal Student Aid.
Architecture: He has provided enterprise architecture and business continuity solutions at the Department of Defense and World Bank. He has designed, developed, and successfully deployed several enterprise IT systems for the U.S. Department of Defense, and has won many awards for his work.
Gyan Reddy, Co-Founder and President
Mr. Reddy has nearly 30 years of experience in the information technology field with a particular emphasis in telecommunications and computing infrastructure engineering, operations and support. During his long tenure at the World Bank, Mr. Reddy held many senior manager positions with main focus on global connectivity and world-wide distributed systems, enabling decentralization of business processes and pushing decision making to the field. Mr. Reddy is also a founder and director of many ventures including Synergetic Engineering Services Private Limited focused on various engineering services including automotive mold flow designs, MAKS Industries Private Limited, focused on automotive gray iron castings, CLASTEK Engineering Private Limited, focused on automotive mold manufacturing and plastic injection molding and Motion Fluids Inc, an animation academy. Mr. Reddy brings a unique blend of technical excellence, global knowledge, management skill and entrepreneurial spirit to the team.
Robert Babiskin, Vice President and CTO
Mr. Babiskin is a technology executive and innovator with 35 years of experience including senior management positions at General Electric, GTE, Oracle, Computer Sciences Corporation, National Semiconductor, and BAE. He has led organizations that have achieved over $500 million in product revenue and business system integration projects of over $2 billion. He has served in the capacity of Division Head, CTO, and Head of Marketing. As Vice President and CTO at Peridot Solutions, he co-authored bMETHODS which has been applied at the Air Force, Navy, DISA, DHS, Army, Marine Corps, DoD CIO, DoD CTO, and the Business Transformation Agency.
Mr. Babiskin is a recognized technical expert in database, networking, and security technologies. He has contributed to major government initiatives in DoD/Civilian data network, GCCS, DII COE, DoD Health Affairs data warehousing and electronic healthcare records, and high assurance security architectures. He has been a product innovator and participated in the development of relational databases and SQL at IBM, the development of the first Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools — PSL/PSA, the first commercialization of X.25 networks and firewall security, and the first database firewall and guards. Mr. Babiskin also holds patents in security and cloud-bursting technologies.
Mr. Babiskin completed his doctoral work in Computer Science and Operation Research at the University of Maryland, where he has taught computer science for three decades, founding programs in Database, CyberSecurity, and Network Design. He was honored with a Teaching Excellence Award in 1999.
Ms. Basile has 30 years of federal contracting experience and procurement policy. She was the subject matter expert for three separate Administrations leading the change to greater transparency and accountability concerning procurement data. She was the architect of the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) e-Gov initiative, the Integrated Acquisition Environment (IAE). Julie’s portfolio lead to the funding and implementation of nine separate procurement tools including FedBizOpps, CCR, and WDOL. These tools modernized archaic paper processes for federal agencies, and engaged state governments as well as foreign countries who desired to emulate the IAE successes.
Over her career Ms. Basile served several managerial roles in field level and base operations contracting in Rhode Island, Hawaii, and Maryland with the Department of Navy. After leaving the OMB, she took command of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) contracting office as the Senior Procurement Executive eliminating over 20 audit findings and removing the stigma of a persistent management challenge. Her leadership raised the bar and the expectations of several managers that enabled several disciplines to move ahead at the SEC. She conducted the competition that moved the SEC from an antiquated financial platform to a shared environment for finance, contracting, and logistics activities.
Ms. Basile is an ACT-IAC Fellow’s, a FED 100 recipient, and an NCMA Fellow. She is FAC-C III certified and DAWIA Level II certified. She is often called upon for public speaking and delivers candor and strategies for success. Julie has held a Top Secret clearance while employed with the Department of Defense and a secret clearance at OMB and the SEC.
Richard “Rick” Clark, Vice President
Mr. Clark has over 30 years of experience in government contracting and government information technology program management. He has vast experience with the U.S. Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the General Service Administration. Mr. Clark’s 30 years of federal service includes Program Management of Federal Business Opportunities, On-line Certifications and Representations, Federal Technical Data Solutions, Catalog for Federal Domestic Assistance, and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
Mr. Clark was instrumental in the layout of Federal E-Gov Policy and the implantation of numerous government acquisition and grants web platforms. He has vast experience in management of government programs and marketing of those programs to small, medium, and large business concerns. Mr. Clark has received numerous awards from government agencies and civilian organizations. These awards include Defense Logistics Agency Meritorious Civilian Service Award, Industry Advisory Council Leadership Award, Dept. of Air Force Notable Achievement Award, Secretary of Air Force Special Recognition Award, and the Department of Defense Best Web Site Award. He is also certified Level III in Contracting and Program Management and holds a secret clearance.
